Fall 2025 Faculty Conference | Fri 8.15 & Mon 8.18
We've created this course to guide you through some basic aspects of what it means to understand George Fox University as a new faculty member. This orientation comes in two broad "movements."
This part will be on your own, to be completed by Tuesday, August 5. In Movement One, you'll work through asynchronous material designed to introduce you to institutional culture, systems, and resources. For Movement Two to be effective, this movement must be completed by the date above. You can access the Movement One module by clicking on the heading.
This is the in-person New Faculty Orientation, held on Wednesday, August 6 (9:30 am-2:00 pm) in the Duke building, room 205 (upstairs) on the Newberg campus. (CAMPUS MAP) This is an opportunity to introduce you to one another and key leaders. You can access the agenda by clicking on the heading above.
In the six parts of Movement One, you will learn about George Fox's history and mission, understand the resources available to support your teaching, and become familiar with academic policies.
We've designed these materials for you to go at your own pace as long as you've reviewed all of them by the end of Tuesday, August 5th.
We anticipate that the entire movement will take about 110 minutes.
