Coronavirus continues to impact education in the 2020-2021 academic year. We have frequently had to switch codes, which has meant that fewer activities could take place on campus. In response to this impact on education and student life, we conducted another survey. This time, international students were also able to participate.
Around 400 students provided input on their workload, education, and mental well-being. In this report, you can read the analyses, as well as the recommendations we made to the faculty and lecturers.
In the 2019-2020 academic year, the sudden lockdown led to a transition from on-campus education to online education. To assess the impact of this sudden transition on students, the student council organized a survey between April 25 and 29, 2020.
The survey focused on digital education, the exam regulations, the impact on bachelor's/master's theses, and general well-being. 335 students completed the survey.
The results were communicated to students and the faculty in the hope that small adjustments could improve the situation.
This presentation is a brief summary of the main conclusions from the FBW survey report for 2019-2020. This is also the presentation that was shown to students and faculty.
In our policy plan we state what we want to work on this academic year as a student council.
For example, we want more students and staff to get to know us, in order to guarantee a fluid stream of information and to work more efficiently. We also want to inform and guide the student representatives. Furthermore we closely follow the education on our faculty, making sure that it is of the best quality we can accomplish.
