What is StuBio?
StuBio is the faculty student council of the Faculty of Bioscience Engineering. As a student council, it is our task to defend the interests of all our students at the faculty. This can involve adjusting timetables, installing new bicycle parking facilities, making new buildings “student-friendly”, reviewing master's thesis deadlines and much more. All Student Representatives (StuVers) in StuBio aim to ensure that every student, regardless of whether they attend classes at the Kortrijk, Schoonmeersen, Coupure or Korea, feels at home on their campus. We do this by representing them in various committees and councils, by participating in meetings of the Ghent Student Council (GSR), by appointing ombudspersons, approving exam schedules, etc.
Would you like to share your opinion as a student? Feel free to come to our monthly General Assembly (AV, "Algemene Vergadering" in Dutch). These are open to all students at the faculty and always cover topics that are relevant to you. All StuVers who sit on a committee are strongly advised to attend these AVs.
