StuBio is the faculty student council (FSR) of the Ghent University Faculty of Bioscience Engineering (FBE or FBW in Dutch). We are the central advisory body for all student representatives (stuvers) who are members of faculty committees and councils. We also help all students to make their voices heard and try to act on their opinions.
Would you like to contribute to improving our faculty? Then come to our general meeting (AV) and be sure to keep an eye on our Instagram and Facebook pages.
General questions about the different committees at our faculty.
Under this link, you can find an overview of all councils and committees at our faculty. You can always submit your candidacy for one of these committees via stubio@ugent.be. Be sure to drop by our general meeting for more information.
Course feedback is the ideal tool for professors to identify areas for improvement or strengths in their courses. Be sure to complete this for all your courses. If insufficient students complete the feedback, the results will simply be discarded. Please be honest in your feedback, giving low scores if something needs to change and high scores if something should definitely remain the same. And don't forget to leave some honest open comments—it's anonymous, after all ;).
The student portal contains a wealth of interesting information about the systems to be used, and you can contact the DICT Helpdesk with any ICT-related questions.
There are so many different tools, but Ufora is by far the most important one during the academic year. The student portal has a great explanation of how to use Ufora. Don't forget to turn on your notifications for StuBio-Ufora ;)
Oasis is the most important platform outside of the academic year, as it is where you configure your class schedule and take care of all kinds of other important matters that are not directly related to studying but are nonetheless important. The student portal provides an overview of the most important features on OASIS, but be sure to explore it yourself! Just make sure you don't accidentally deregister :)
