The rules for hosting J! Interactive are a bit different from the rules for hosting JBL. Please make sure you follow them.
Alcohol policy and host tab: Hosts are not allowed to drink alcohol during Jeopardy! Interactive events. Currently, J! Interactive falls under the same umbrella as Alamo movie parties and bar events. For hosts unfamiliar with the tab policy for movie parties (different from GWD or JBL events), check it out here.
Download and read the game prior to arrival: Jeopardy! Interactive quizzes are available 1-2 days before each scheduled quiz date. (see Step 1 below)
Arrival time is earlier: Arrival time is 1 hour before game start time. Theaters do a tech run through before opening doors to the players 30 minutes prior to the start time. You should already be set up and playing music 30 minutes before the start of the game.
Be sure to use the correct game settings! Please remember that all of your settings are important to ensure that you have the correct content and that it's set up for single players instead of teams. (See Step 2 below)
Make sure you're using the right URL for the Opcon! For Jeopardy! Interactive events, the Opcon can be accessed via https://jeopardyinteractive.com/. DO NOT use playjeopardylive.com for Jeopardy! Interactive events.
Fill out the Alamo Feedback Form after your event. This is NOT done through OYQ. Navigate to the Alamo Feedback Form, select Theater Events, then J! Interactive. You will be paid once we receive this feedback form.
Jeopardy! Interactive quizzes are available 1-2 days before each scheduled quiz date.
Next:
Venue, select the location of your Jeopardy Interactive quiz.
It'll be "JINT - Your location"
Please search for yours using the location after "JINT" (e.g. type in "Seaport" for Boston Seaport). Here's the list of locations.
Not finding your location? Email qmsupport@geekswhodrink.com.
Content Source: GWD Jeopardy Database
Event Type: Demo
Game Config: JEOPARDY! Interactive
Jeopardy Content: J! Interactive MM.DD.YY
Be careful. If this field starts with "JBL," use the dropdown on the field to seled the J! Interactive quiz.
Heads up: If you also host JBL, you might need to reset your settings for Event Type and Game Config to the defaults for JBL before your next game:
Repeat all of the steps shown above in Step 1.
Jeopardy Interactive is a single player event, not team.
Single Player Mode is established by selecting Demo in Event Type and JEOPARDY! Interactive in Game Config when loading your quiz. (There's nothing additional you need to do.)
Again, all of the settings when you load the game are really important.
As in a JBL game, the Opcon is accessed by pressing the Open Opcon button in the Host App.
If you forget to hit the Open Opcon button to access your Opcon before pressing Play Game, you need to go to this URL:
https://jeopardyinteractive.com/
The playjeopardylive.com does not work for Jeopardy Interactive. It will disable your ability to override responses as correct/incorrect.
Keep an eye on team names as you're approving them to play. You have the ability and responsibility to change team names.
Approving and changing team names is covered here.
The breaks for Jeopardy Interactive are:
15 minutes in the middle of the Jeopardy round
10 minutes between Jeopardy and Double Jeopardy
5 minutes between Double Jeopardy and Final Jeopardy
Please play music during breaks. Yes, these may seem long and you're in a theater but they're designed to give servers time to collect orders and drop checks per Alamo's workflow. Also, it's a little tougher for servers to update orders during gameplay because of the single player structure of Interactive.
Following the event, please fill out a Geeks Who Drink Alamo Feedback Form for pay.
DO NOT fill out a feedback form in OYQ.
Select Theater Events as Gig.
Then J! Interactive under Theater Event.
In the comments section, please leave feedback about how the event went. "Everything went great!" is fine. "N/A" or "None" are not.

Open the settings menu by pressing the "esc" key
Select System
Select Kill Session
Select Quit to confirm. The webpage will become unresponsive and require a refresh or close
At this point, you can start a new session
