Parents and students,

GDOE is signing out laptops to students who are in need of one. Here you will find an application for a laptop. Fill it out and email your completed form to fblghawks@gdoe.net. Devices are limited. Please keep in mind that turning in an application does not guarantee you will get a laptop.

You must meet the following criteria:

Where To Apply

Each school is responsible for issuing laptops to the students attending that school. Our application is specific to our school and we will only issue laptops to FBLGMS students. Parents/Guardians must inquire with each child’s designated public school for information.

Selection & Criteria Process

a. Schools will review applications and prioritize which students will be receiving devices based on responses and the priority order.

Criteria for Selection (Priority Order)

a. Student with reliable internet access but no technology devices such as a laptop/desktop computer or Tablet/iPad. Mobile phone is not a suitable device for distance learning but may be the source for internet connectivity.

b. Student who has internet access but shares a device with other students in their home.

c. Student who has no internet access and no device but able and willing to access internet elsewhere.

Note: Schools have the flexibility to pose additional criteria for eligibility. An example of an additional criteria is determining family engagement. If students/families are regularly communicating with the school regarding their child/children’s education, are participating in class activities, pick up and submit hard copy packets consistently, and/or respond to school inquiries and requests, this all could be used as deciding factors when ranking students.

Students, we don't expect you to complete three weeks of work in one week. On Friday, submit any assignments that you were able to finish.

If you are on the face to face module of learning and are not online, a hard copy packet will be made for you for pick up on Fridays.

Hard copy distribution will restart on Friday, September 4 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.

Monday, September 7 is a holiday (Labor Day). Team 7B will not be holding any Zoom classes this day.
