The Experimental AI in Games (EXAG) workshop is a workshop held at the AI for Interactive Digital Entertainment conference (AIIDE). At EXAG, AI practitioners from academia and industry are given a platform to showcase their work on new applications of AI in games. Beyond being just a workshop, EXAG aims to foster a community where new ideas can be proposed and developed within the space of the workshop itself, thanks to sessions that emphasize showing, teaching, and inventing, alongside the traditional paper presentations.
The Intelligent Narrative Technologies (INT) workshop series aims to advance AI research in understanding and expressing narratives. Significant recent advances in digital media narratives have spanned games, simulations, and interactive fiction. INT gathers a multidisciplinary group to share work at the intersection of narrative and technology, uniting experts from diverse fields. The workshop focuses on developing systems for creating, adapting, and performing narratives, involving research in natural language processing, virtual characters, commonsense reasoning, computer vision, computational media, and storytelling.
The goal of the Strategy Games Workshop is to bring together AI researchers and game AI programmers from the industry, who are interested in strategic game AI, to present and exchange ideas on the subject, and to discuss how academia and game companies can work together to improve the state-of-the-art in AI for games. The SG Workshop welcomes original research contributions, position papers, competition AI system descriptions, and post-mortem game analyses in the area of AI for strategy games --- including modern video strategy games (such as FPS and RTS games), and turn-based games and puzzles.
