The video below features a student- created podcast where fellow students reflect on our current school premises and planning for their future in our new building.

Central to this project ‘Foirgneamh Nua - Féidireachtaí Nua’  (New Build - New Possibilities) is real world engagement as students share their voice and vision for our new school building.

Throughout the planning process we endeavor to make it a collaborative and consultative project involving all members of the school community. Students and teachers are extremely innovative with their ideas and there is no limit to their creativity.  Many of our teachers are incorporating aspects of the design and its environment  into their lessons which excites learners and involves them in the process.

Our architect works closely with management, teachers and learners to ensure that our central ethos is supported and enhanced in the new build. He has secretly observed the school through attending events and while visiting us, he noted how we embed technology in such a subliminal way, it is at our core.  He described us as a ‘Digital School’ and with this, our learners have been playing an integral part in designing learning and social spaces for our future structure. Mobile technology and connectivity is to the fore of all key design concepts. This reflects our continued dedication to the relationship we foster between students, technology and education on a daily basis.

Sustainability and environment is of paramount importance to our learners and many projects have centered around this. Students explore many facets involved in this exciting project which is ever evolving and innovating.
