Apple School Manager provides simple resolutions to bureaucratic technical issues around managed apple ids which are provided by the school. 

It allows us to manage student apple IDs within our structure Apple’s device enrolment program is efficiently catered for with the help of our partners in the ASE also

Our mobile device management platform is very user friendly and can be accessed by our internal support team. All junior cycle students have managed devices under this platform which effectively allows us to create the perfect learning mix in terms of available applications during the school day on our wifi network.

The platform allows for clearing of forgotten passcodes, the pushing out of applications and the restriction of certain applications not conducive to the learning environment and agreed times of the day.

Classroom groups can be created in order to push certain applications to specific groups of students and allows for the effective management of the digital learning environment which so vast in its nature, can become cluttered and hence reducing focus on the part of the student.  

It also allows for the pushing of Apple Classroom on a class by class basis, keeping structure and order to the platform as the use of this application grew across the teaching community here in Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh.

JAMF allows us to monitor, manage and secure the school iPads and Macs in the most effective and controlled fashion possible.

All classes are kitted out with the latest in Apple TV technology in order to provide the airplay facility to all teachers and students of Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh.

Each room has its own unique name and 2 step connection through the means of an airplay code which restricts the ability of a connection accidentally occurring from an adjacent room for example.

The Apple TVs are connected to a range of smart projectors via HDMI connection.

All teachers are provided with iPad, MacBooks and Apple Pencils. This hardware is upgrades every three years or when needed

Our ultimate goal is reliable connectivity so that nothing stands in the way of learning in the moment, accessing services and creating content. 

Gladly we no longer get complaints about poor wifi and that has ensured continuous growth and development.
