Garden Nursery School is a parent and teacher run cooperative preschool located in Harvard Square in Cambridge. For 65 years, Garden Nursery School has offered a nurturing and stimulating environment for children and their families. We strive to ensure that our families, staff, and volunteers are respected and valued for their contributions regardless of their race, gender, age, sexual orientation, economic status, religious beliefs, abilities, disabilities, or any other factor. We are dedicated to creating an environment where everyone can thrive and be their authentic selves.
GNS offers full day and part day programs for toddlers and preschoolers with an option to attend 2, 3, or 5 days each week!

Co-operative Participation and Community Building
Our school was founded on the belief that active parental involvement helps establish community and that this, in turn, naturally eases the transition for children as they make their way in their new school environment.
We welcome all the ways parents and guardians contribute to their child's Garden Nursery School experience, whether it is serving as President of our Board, helping in the classroom, or doing a load of laundry! We deeply value our partnerships with families!
