The Gifted Program is coordinated through the Special Education Department at Markville Secondary School. Through Gifted level courses, students are given many opportunities to explore topics with greater depth and breadth and at an accelerated pace. The program is designed to encourage students to maximize their learning potential through a variety of exciting learning experiences and challenges.
Students who have been identified by the Identification Placement Review Committee (IPRC) as Gifted are eligible to take the Grade 9 and 10 Gifted courses, and receive Partially Integrated (PI) support during these two years of study.
