Spring iPad Roll-In

End of 23/24 School Year iPad Plan

 Elementary Update:

For the end of this year all iPads students are using, they will continue to use moving into next year. There will be no new iPads being placed to swap out 6th or 7th gen iPads.

All iPads should be reset during roll-in across KG-5th grade, especially the schools that have a mix of 6th-8th gen iPads. K-4th grade iPads will need to be stored to be checked out to the same student for the Fall of 2024. 5th grade iPads will roll down for incoming KG. The few Elementary schools that received 9th gen iPads last year can consider not to reset, but that would be up to the school and a reset is still recommended.

Secondary Update

All 12th grade iPads collected will need updated, charged and be erased by the JAMF Reset app. iPads will be stored and rolled down to the incoming 9th grade class. Current 9th-11th grade students will keep their iPad over the summer.

All 6th, 7th, and 8th grade iPads collected will need to be updated, charged  and be erased by the JAMF Reset app.
8th grade iPads will roll down to the incoming 6th grade class. For TRS and WSV the 8th grade iPads will roll down to KG

Middle schools can decide if they'd like to have their students erase their devices for a fresh start in the fall, or leave them signed in.
No matter the decision, make sure that the devices are on the latest iPadOS and as fully charged as is practical during roll-in.
