This lecture, Prof. Robert Schinke exactly engages in this career, called Sport and Exercise Psychologist. He gave us a speech regarding how to be mentally healthy as well as develop our life skills. Through the talk, we learned that a regular daily routine and sufficient nutrition are very important. As a college student, we are hard to avoid that eat excess junk food and too busy to have sufficient sleep. Besides, Prof. Kao from Department of Kinesiology also mentioned that the influence of peers and limitation of finance made them even more difficult.
On the other hand, Prof. Robert Schinke taught us the way to accomplish challenging while achievable goals. “Write them down” is arguably the most crucial step. According to the experiment report, the success rate of people who write down their goals is higher than people who don’t write them down. Because if we always see them, we will never forget and have more fighting spirit.
Recently, there is a trend which is followed by many girls in Tok-tok called "that girl challenge.” It’s about self fulfilment and achieving goals. People who implement “that girl challenge” need to set their objectives first, including getting up, making their bed, working out, and eating a bowl of salad in the early morning. What’s more, they make up to make themselves feel confident, read books to enrich knowledge, and even cook three meals every day. Before the challenge ends, they check whether they have achieved all their goals within 24 hours. Some challengers say that their moods are getting better after participating in “that girl challenge”, others says that they feel a sense of achievement and improvement.
A healthy life can bring us both physical and psychological benefits, so why don’t manage to make your life healthier from now on? Borrow a slogan from Nike “Just Do It.” There is no time better than the present to begin with your journey to excellence.

The speech this weekend is my favorite and most impressive one of the course so far. However, unfortunately, because of the approach of midterm exam week, I didn't have enough time to watch the whole film again, nor could I organize my thoughts properly to express what I had learned. Maybe I will feel it again when I get through this busy time.
I consider what he said to be pretty meaningful to me, because it reminded me of my study habits before college. I’ve always studied hard day and night. Eventually, my effort was worth it. My hard work resulted in my admission to a renowned university in Taiwan where I can gain more knowledge along with my classmates. However, the idea the professor made in order to make us understand the goals cannot adapt to everyone. The idea the professor came up with could only be effective for people who are diligent without a fault. If people have a habit of being lazy and cannot yield to temptation, the way of setting goals cannot work in the long run. In addition, I think that the perspective of putting in efforts leading to success is slightly biased to some degree. I believe there are a large number of people failing to achieve their goals even though they are diligent and hard-working. We cannot just ascribe the success to hard work because there are too many factors including people’s success, such as background, money, fortune⋯⋯ and so on. And Maybe someone will ask how to cope with these two problems?
This lecture, Dr. Robert Schinke exactly engages in this career, called Sport and Exercise Psychologist. He gave us a speech regarding how to be mentally healthy as well as develop our life skills. Through the talk, I learned that a regular daily routine and sufficient nutrition are very important. As a college student, we are hard to avoid that eat excess junk food and too busy to have sufficient sleep. Besides, teacher Gao from Department of Kinesiology also mentioned that the influence of peers and limitation of finance made them even more difficult. I’m agree with that, however, we still can try our best to make them possible. For instance, I brew oatmeal for breakfast, instead of dining out. I think that is a good way to save money, most importantly, it’s healthy and nutritious for our body.
I will share my steps and experience of having a relaxation below. First, close our eyes before going to bed. Second, recall the spots we have been to before. Third, image that we are in the place now and enjoy the fantasy. Take myself for instance, I image that I am in an island in the ocean with lots of coconut trees, soft cloud, a great piece of blue sky, and tropical cuisines.
By doing so, I have a sound sleep and a good mood on the next day. The above skill can not only satisfy our desire of going abroad but have a relaxation in mental aspect.
