First, professor Catherine explains different kinds of activities that Taiwan Vietnamese do in their daily life, including, making the dye, weaving the cloth, harvesting and planting. Knowing their daily activities can help us know the knowledge that we couldn’t find in the classroom. Next, professor Catherine asks us a question ‘How can I do this when I have 25 students in my class? As Moll and his colleague explain, this is an incremental process. Choose one student who finds school difficult and who has different background, and you might know him in the different way. Finally, Funds of Knowledge explains another thing is that finding out what families can do and how children are involved with that knowledge. It also means spending time in communities and learning about what happens in those spaces. Last but not least, Funds of Knowledge means honoring and building upon the beliefs and values of children and families.
