It’s the time of the year where seniors are growing into their own skin and ruling the school. You know, walking around and telling telling off freshman with ease for walking down the middle of the hallway? The seniors are ruling the roost. It’s also the time of year that the class of 2020 Senior Superlatives are released. If you’re not aware, class superlatives are voted on by the class of 2020. But is it a popularity contest or not? Let’s find out.
This past October the Seniors filled out forms to nominate classmates who fit the categories. The superlatives include shallow titles like best hair, or the most likely to be late. A pretty common concern is that these titles will all go to those more popular students in the class. A nod to the Yearbook Club and the class of 2020 for a solid representation of the senior class.
Students from all groups were highlighted in the awards; students from sports clubs, academic clubs, music and theater clubs, and just our class in general. So even though we sometimes might think that superlatives are only for the popular kids, it seems like the people in the school aren’t as cliquey as we sometimes think.
