Everyone knows the seniors are bound to win Powderpuff, but we, the juniors, did give the seniors a run for their money this year. The seniors were in the lead at half time, us only down a touchdown. Speaking of half time... that half time performance was hilarious and surprisingly really good for both junior and senior cheerleaders. The seniors were a little more coordinated than the juniors when it came to cheerleading but we, the juniors, did do some shocking and unexpected moves, such as the back handspring into a split by Angelo Marcello. We also added TikTok dances and numerous songs - which is, most likely, why we won for cheerleading. After both performances by the cheerleaders the game was back on. Juniors quickly tied the score and held it until the last 5 minutes. That's when, sadly, the seniors scored the winning touchdown. All and all watching the game was a very fun experience. I was able to see the girls play a good game of flag football while enjoying some easy laughs as the boys cheered them on. In the end, there didn't seem to be any big rivalry between the two classes, but next year - we are definitely going to win Powderpuff and the cheer competition...watch out class of 2024!
