Everage Karate Goes to World Championships

Everage World Championship Karate, based in Gates NY, has 11 local competitors who have qualified for the US karate team, and who will be going to Niagara Falls, NY, for the 2019 world championships. Competitors from Everage include Jacob Bianchi (26), Max Wade (32), Chad Mattice (42), Dylan Mattice (13), Kayla Mattice (12), Brook Mattice (40), Lillianna Rush (12), Karen Hopkins (47), Nolan Hopkins (18), Brianna Rush (10) and Allen Nesmith (12). Lennon Hare (15) is the standout competitor going with the team. Hare qualified for the US team by winning the silver medal at the Ohio Regionals, and the bronze at the Detroit Nationals. The US national team this year has 300 members, 12 of whom are from Rochester, and out of this 12, 11 are from Everage. Members of the media, and the public, are encouraged to attend this event and give support so that the Everage team may send competitors to the 2020 international championships in Madrid, Spain.
