Berkner fine arts Trip 2023

March 8 - March 14, 2023

(over the first half of RISD Spring Break 2023

** This is an OPTIONAL trip for our band, choir, colorguard, jazz, orchestra and theatre students! **

Fundraising goes towards each separate fine arts program as a whole. No funds from fundraisers will go towards this optional trip.

Students must be academically eligible at the 2nd nine week grading period ending Dec.16, 2022 in order to attend the Disney Trip. No trip refunds are given for any reason on this trip (including eligibility).

Proposed Itinerary:

Wed Mar 8 Departure noon from Richardson, TX (we go to the first two classes at BHS)

Thurs Mar 9 Check in to hotel & Animal Kingdom until close

Fri Mar 10 Hollywood Studios

Sat Mar 11 Universal Day One & Hard Rock 2pm late lunch at Universal, then head to Epcot until close

Sun Mar 12 Performance workshop day: Perform, then Magic Kingdom until close

Mon Mar 13 Departure Day: Check out of hotel & Universal Day Two (begin drive home when Universal closes)

Tues Mar 14 Arrival home 9pm


Trip fee includes:

Five charter buses (remain with group the entire trip)

Four nights hotel at the Grand Orlando Resort in Kissimmee

Three meals per day (all included)

Four-day Disney park hopper with Genie Pass (the new FastPass)

Two-day Universal park hopper

One “team dinner” at Hard Rock Cafe for entire group

Disney Imagination Performing Arts workshop for each ensemble

Hotel security all night long (four nights)

Travel insurance included


Proposed Trip Payment schedule:

(final total amount may change based on the number of students that pay the first deposit)

First deposit is $250.00 due Monday May 23rd. Money is paid directly to each separate booster club.

Payment #2 August 29 Monday $250.00

Payment #3 September 26 $250.00

Payment #4 November 1 $250.00 DISNEY DAY (sign up for rooms after school)

Nov.1 is the last day to add or drop the trip ($250.00 initial deposit is non-refundable).

To sign up for rooms & bus, $1,000.00 total in payments must be submitted towards the trip.

All payments made go towards completing band fees first.

Payment #5 November 28 $300.00

Final Payment February 1 $350.00 DISNEY DAY II (sign up for buses & pay final fee remainder)


Total Trip Cost Estimate: $1650.00


(3% service fee applies to all online payments).

You can also place your payment in a sealed envelope with student name on it, and drop it in the band safe.

You can still add your student to the Disney Trip! Simply pay the $250.00 deposit with the link above and email Mr. Schayot to notify him of your intention to add the trip at jason.schayot@risd.org

The last day to add students to the trip is October 31, 2022.
