Ryan Ferreira is the Colorguard Director at L.V. Berkner High School. His responsibilities include managing and choreographing for the Berkner Colorguard and Winterguard programs. Mr. Ferreira is also responsible for instructing the after-school Colorguard clubs at Apollo and Liberty Junior High School. 

Mr. Ferreira began his colorguard career in his hometown of Richardson at J.J. Pearce High School in 2013 and graduated from Plano Senior High School in 2016. From then, he has gone on to perform with numerous World-Class indoor and outdoor colorguard organizations. These groups include Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps, The Cadets Drum & Bugle Corps, Black Gold World Winterguard and Origins World Winterguard. 

Mr. Ferreira has assisted and choreographed for numerous Cologuard programs throughout DFW, including; Mansfield HS, Wylie East HS, Mesquite HS, North Mesquite HS, Poteet HS and Southlake Carroll HS. Currently, he is on the Colorguard instructional staff at the Madison Scouts Drum & Bugle Corps and assists with the Colorguard programs at Plano West Senior HS. 

Mr. Ferreira joined the Berkner Colorguard Staff as an instructional assistant in early 2023 and is thrilled to begin the 2024 school year as Colorguard Director. He looks forward to growing Colorguard within the Berkner cluster while providing a healthy and competitive environment for its members.
