Kevin West is the Associate Percussion Director at L.V. Berkner High School in Richardson ISD where his responsibilities include teaching the front ensemble and teaching all Berkner cluster percussion lessons grades 6-12.

Education 

Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Performance from Mississippi State University, Master of Music degree in Percussion Performance from Texas A&M University—Commerce 

Performance and Teaching Experience 

Kevin West began playing drums at age 9, and has over a decade of experience teaching private lessons and both high school and collegiate marching percussion sections. While pursuing his undergraduate degree, he taught private lessons and marching percussion sections throughout the state of Mississippi. He also played snare drum with the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps and placed third in the PASIC college marimba competition. During the summer of 2016, Kevin worked with the Cascades Drum & Bugle Corps as a snare drum instructor. In the fall, he received a graduate assistantship at Texas A&M—Commerce, where he taught private lessons, percussion ensemble, and marching percussion until 2018. He currently lives in Dallas and is an active freelance musician throughout DFW.
