What did you do immediately after leaving QE?

Went on to study an MEng in Mechanical Engineering at Loughborough University

And what are you doing now?

Finishing the third year of my degree remotely! (I took a placement year last year, turning the four year integrated Master's into five years total!)

Are the skills you developed while studying A-level physics helpful in what you're doing now?

Definitely, the materials understanding has come in incredibly useful, as has the electronics and force/dynamics content covered.

Favourite memory of QE physics?

Being in a lesson where Brian somehow got from delivering content to rambling on about dragons and various other things - he had just been off ill admittedly. He probably shouldn't have been back at work as he didn't seem to be fully compos mentis!

Anything else that you think a 16-year-old thinking of studying physics at QE might want to know?

It'll give you an excellent introduction to a wide variety of topics you will encounter at university, and gaining that base knowledge will make new content further on easier to understand.
