Are the skills you developed while studying A-level physics helpful in what you're doing now?
Yes, loads! Numeracy (taught Maths and worked in Maths dept at AQA), problem solving (helping students who don't know their next steps), perseverance/resilience (a job is no longer for life, so keep learning new skills to get where you want to go), communication - written and oral, team work in lab work, organisation (logical and thorough)
Favourite memory of QE physics?
Trip to London to Science museum! Amazing teachers and support offered. Happy memories which inspired me to study Physics at UMIST and graduate with a First.
Anything else that you think a 16-year-old thinking of studying physics at QE might want to know?
It's hard, but very rewarding when it 'clicks'. There's a lot of Maths. It's always been (and always will be) a subject associated with a high salary! It keeps lots of doors open in case you're not sure what you want to do next. It's still known to be one of the hardest A Levels you can do, so even if you don't do great, you've still done great comparatively!
