The Li group (quantum electronics laboratory, QEL) was established by Prof. Jiun-Yun Li (李峻霣教授) in 2013 summer. The main focus in QEL is materials physics and devices at quantum scale for future computing. To make it happen, we're aiming at both conventional materials (e.g. GeSn) and devices (e.g. MOSFETs) and the future candidates such as transitional metal dichalcogenides, tunnel FETs, nanowire FETs, spin FETs, or quantum computing devices. QEL is driven by the emerging device applications to explore the future materials and novel devices for future computing. There are now 5 doctoral students, 12 master students, and 2 undergraduate students, and 1 assistant in QEL. Most of the group members have major in Electrical Engineering and Physics from the prestigious Universities in Taiwan such as National Taiwan University (NTU), National Yang-Ming Chiao-Tung University (NYCU), National Tsing-Hua University (NTHU), National Cheng-Kung University (NCKU), National Central University (NCU), etc. It's strongly encouraged for the master (or undergraduate) students to work toward their doctoral degrees. The doctoral students in this group are well supported both in both financial and research perspectives. Undergraduate students are very welcome to start their minor-league training as soon as possible. Our alumni go to the world-leading semiconductor companies such as TSMC, UMC, Nanya, or continue their doctoral study in the top universities such as MIT, Stanford, Princeton, UIUC, Michigan, UCLA, UTAustin, TU Delft, etc. We welcome young talents to join us at any time. If you're interested, please don't hesitate to contact Prof. Li or any group members. See ya!
