Please prepare the ORM-RP Forms before submitting your paper.
All submitted proposals must align with the identified priority areas.
Proposals that encompass multiple priority areas will receive the highest priority.
Interdisciplinary research proposals shall be given top priority.
Proposals aligning with SDGs 3, 4, 7, 12, 15, and 17 will be prioritized.
If submissions are low in some clusters, OVCRE may redirect funds to other clusters.
Exceptional research proposals outside these priority areas may still be eligible for funding.
Proponents with unfinished deliverables in past internally funded projects will be disqualified.
Note: All proposals will undergo initial in-house screening by the OVCRE, followed by technical evaluation by reviewers, prior to final approval.
The following criteria will be rated on a scale of one (1) to five (5), where 1 signifies the lowest rating and 5 signifies the highest.
Knowledge Transfer
The project is a pilot study that may lead to a future collaborative work with other universities or industries.
The project involves network enhancing opportunities for the University.
The project will lead to the enhancement of knowledge translation capacity within the University network.
The project will mentor undergraduate and/or graduate students.
Relevance/ Significance
Impact of outcomes on academic community/end-users
Innovation and originality
Ethical considerations (for projects that use humans or animals as subjects)
Marketability Potential (for products and processes)
Potential IP (intellectual property other than copyright)
Product/process has sufficient end users
Scientific/ Technical Merit
Objective/s well stated (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound)
Program design (methods, proposed approach and evaluation methodology) supports the objectives
Management of data / data analyses (data collection clearly defined, quality control procedures in place, statistical analysis described
Likelihood of success of achieving outcomes
Sustainability of implementation of project outcomes
