DECA membership is part of all the business and marketing courses. During the semester, you will be working on competitive events and activities as part of your course curriculum.
If you do not have one of Ms. Oliver's classes, you are still welcome to join DECA and participate along with your fellow St. James High School DECA teammates in the competitive events and activities!

DECA is an integral component of a program of courses within the marketing, business management, finance, and hospitality and tourism career clusters, as well as entrepreneurship and personal financial literacy.
Scholarship Programs
DECA’s scholarship program provides over $200,000 to high school and college DECA members at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) each year.
Many corporate partners of DECA provide scholarships through the DECA scholarship program.
DECA Inc. administers the program based on guidelines set by the donor. DECA scholarships are strictly merit-based. The application will open in Fall of each year.
