This course provides students with the knowledge, skills, and experiences needed to develop an effective business plan for small business ownership.
The course incorporates economics, ethics, legal aspects, business accounting, marketing, human resources, strategies for financing, and technology.

**Students enrolled in this course are required to join the SJH DECA Chapter as part of the course and will have access to extra resources as well as competitive events associated with the course material (there may be other related expenses for travel to compete in off-campus events).**
This course meets the .5 unit Personal Finance credit requirement for a South Carolina High School Diploma.
