The collection, manipulation, storage, and retrieval of data has become an important tool and indicator of business success. Decisions are made based on data analysis that impacts all parts of society.
Students will analyze different data sets, and collect, manipulate, store, secure, and retrieve data using electronic spreadsheets and database software applications. Students will use their problem-solving and critical thinking skills to prepare computational artifacts which will be used to make informed decisions using a real-world approach.
Prerequisite: Algebra I
Industry Credentials: EverFi ~ Digital Literacy & Wellness
This course meets the 1 unit Computer Science credit requirement for a South Carolina High School Diploma.
Every unit you will be introduced to new vocabulary terms. At the end of the unit, you will be quizzed on your knowledge of the vocabulary terms and definitions.
The practice round will be posted 2-3 days before your Vocabulary Quiz on the post in Schoology and expires the day before the quiz. Please use the practice to round to help you study.
