How can I build positive habits around media and tech to support my well being?
Friday Script: Social Awareness
Our last National Digital Citizenship week thought is about digital drama.
When people post online, they might say something they would never say face-to-face. It’s also easier to misunderstand someone because you can’t see their face or hear their tone of voice. People also feel pressure to respond online where others can see it. All of this can lead to digital drama, emotional conflicts online.
What are some ways you can help avoid the drama? Responding with a positive comment or ignoring the post can be effective ways to fix the issue. If those don’t work, talk to the person involved OFFLINE or talk to an adult you trust about what to try next.
You have the power to take away from the digital drama by being a good Digital Citizen.
