Wednesday Script: Responsible Decision-Making

Our Digital Citizenship tip for the day is learning how to stay safe when we go online.

The internet is great with lots of fun places to go! It gives us the ability to visit far away places and learn new things too. Like any other place we visit, we want to make sure we stay safe.

Here are 3 rules that can help you stay safe when you're online:

1. Always make sure you have permission before you go online.

2. Only talk to people you know or your parents have approved. Talking to strangers online is like talking to strangers in person.

3. Stick to places that are designed for kids. This helps us stay on safe websites. Not sure if the website is safe? Ask a trusted adult!

If we each think about staying safe when we use technology, together we can make a positive impact on the world. At Comal ISD, we are good decision makers Digital Citizens!
