How do we balance our time with technology?
Monday Script: Self-Awareness
Every October, we celebrate National Digital Citizenship week! Digital citizenship is using technology responsibly and appropriately. Being a good digital citizen means you know what is right and wrong and make good choices when using technology. Each day, this week, we'll be sharing ideas on how we can become better Digital Citizens.
Today, we are thinking about our personal responsibilities when we are using technology. It is our responsibility to make sure we keep ourselves safe and healthy when we use technology.
Have you ever gotten frustrated when you messed up on a video game? It can make you sad or even mad. If you don't have a good feeling when you're using technology, try these three things.
1. Pause- Take a moment to notice how you are feeling.
2. Think- Think about your feelings and what to do next.
3. Ask- If you're feeling uncomfortable or frustrated, get help from a trusted adult or ask yourself if you need to take a break.
If we each think about our personal responsibility when we use technology, together we can make a positive impact on the world. At Comal ISD, we are responsible Digital Citizens!
