While it can help strengthen friendships, it can also cause issues. When a friend sends you a message, do you feel pressure to drop everything and respond right away? Think about how it makes you feel when you’re speaking to someone and they pick up their phone to respond to a text. Do you feel like they're actually paying attention to you? While it can be hard to resist the pressure of being constantly connected, occasionally “unplugging” is important for building healthy relationships online and offline.
