Self-Exploration is a student's process of gaining personal awareness and understanding of who they are as an individual. Self-Exploration is important because students begin to identify their sense of purpose through the exploration of interests and abilities as well as the establishment of their individual values, ethics, and beliefs. For many students, attending college may be one of the first times they interact with people who have different values and identities, so it is important that each student be able to articulate who they are and what they believe.
