Clear and Effective Communication
Students can demonstrate organized and purposeful communication.

ELA 1 students present to their peers using the speaking and listening target.
The French 1 class works together to choose the best Halloween candy... speaking only in French!

Genetics students work on a lab to answer the question: Does using our muscles change the amoung of cell respiration happening in our body?
Spanish Foundations 1 students created an original story in Spanish that included 3 universities, 1 person, and 3 career paths. After the story was finished they chose a series of sentences from the story that were randomly put up in the hallway and then they competed in rewriting them as a team and putting them in order of sequence.
ELA 1 students work on identfying structure in poetry using their favorite songs.
AP Calculus students apply extensive prior knowledge to new situations.
Responsible and Involved Citizenship
Students take responsibility for their actions and understand their impact on the community.
Students collaborate effectively and respectfully.
Botany students have been learning about plant structures including fruit types in class, and had a chance to taste some squash recipes using Delicata squash grown and harvested by students.
Criminal Justice students launched Podcasts investigating individuals wrongfully convicted of crimes.
Students utilize Advisory study hall to collaborate on a project.
