Clear and Effective Communication
Students can demonstrate organized and purposeful communication.
Students can gather information from actively speaking, listening, and participating in class.
Public speaking students work on a fun broadcast.
AP Gov students simulate how bills become laws. We are in minute 3 of a filibuster about roman numerals.
A group of freshmen share about and show the town they created which included the 3D map, and all aspects of town government.
Public Speaking and Work Based Learning Seminar students visited WOKO, Kool 105, and WCAX to learn about what it takes to produce a radio or tv broadcast.
Self Direction
Students have self-awareness, initiative, flexibility, and resilience in their learning.

Students practice chords on guitar.
Students in Wildlife Biology class learn about cladograms, a diagram used to show evolutionary traits amongst animals.
The Financial Literacy class is learning about how and why to files taxes.

Students observe and evaluate situations in order to solve problems.
Students persist in solving challenging problems and learn from failure.
Students performed a variety of challenges at stations to write comparative sentences in French.

AP Environment Science students investigate the environmental impacts and economic costs of mining by completing a fun cookie lab.
Teams of Math 1 students earned turns on the Jenga tower for correctly solving systems of equaitons.

A Chemistry student measures air pressure and force.

Students take responsibility for their actions and understand their impact on the community.

Scheduling for 2025-2026
Students recieved Scheduling Materials for the 25-26 School Year in Advisory. Students who are at tech centers during advisory or who were absent, please connect with your school counselor and/or advisor. Course requests will be due Feb 14th.

VSAC Scholarships are due February 12th, be sure to get a copy of your transcript to upload to your VSAC portal. VSAC Guide for uploading the necessary documents to your VSAC portal.
Grade 11
Sign up with your school counselor by Feb 14th if you would like to take the SAT at BFA on April 11th
College and Career Planning Workshops at BFA this winter and spring.
Early College Applications are open, May 1st is the priority deadline.
Juniors please book a meeting with your school counselor to discuss courses for senior year as well as post-high school plans.
Grade 10
