You need to have 2-step verification to on for extra security measures. Click on your icon in the top right of chrome and go to Manage your Google Account --> Security --> Sign-in to Google --> 2-Step Verification. See here

Chromebook - ctrl + shift + switch window (draw box)

- Look for the on/off button on the Tv and make sure it's on

- Check the socket where it's plugged in with other device

- Do you have a chromecast connected to your projector/TV?

- Is the chromecast connected to the projector/ TV or an HDMI cable?

- If it's the HDMI and you have both, please unplug the HDMI cable and plug in the Chromecast.

• instead of casting from the option from Google web browser, please use the one directly in the video.

2) Google Meets

• Google meets, like any other video conference software is not meant for casting. Only works directly from your laptop/chromebook. You can use an external screen if you need to be looking at a bigger image.

Sometimes the Chromecast will need to be rebooted for it to be discoverable again. Unplug the power to the Chromecast wait 10 seconds and reconnect.

Restart your computer and open Chrome again, make sure you are connected to the internet and try to cast again.

If when you press cast no devices are shown follow these steps to relaunch your browser:

Option 1:

1. close all unnecessary tabs in your browser

2. Clean the cache in your browser by going to setting/advance/Restore settings to their original defaults

3. Restart your browser

4. Try again

Option 2:

1. Paste this in address bar - chrome://flags .

2. Change the top setting from Disabled to Enabled and back. (so its Disabled) .

3. When you do this a blue RELAUNCH NOW will appear in the bottom right..

4. Click on this, the Cast devices should show up.

alternatively - copy/paste this into address bar of chrome. chrome://flags/#load-media-router-component-extension change to enabled and relaunch browser.

First select the file you would like to move.

Right click on the file and select -> Move to...

Select the folder you would like it to be added too, then press and hold alt (Mac) / Ctrl (Chromebook) the blue dialogue box should change from to Green and say add. Repeat for other folders.

Click the 3 dots in the top right of the Chrome browser next to your icon. Click on settings --> scroll down and click on advanced --> Reset settings to their original defaults --> click reset settings.

f you see this whilst using Classroom, Jamboard, Docs, ect; The error in question can occur if you are logged into multiple accounts on the same browser. For example if one account is logged into Gmail, and a different account tries to access the Jamboard Web Editor, you can run into this error. Try logging out completely from other accounts or using an incognito window if you need to have multiple accounts running simultaneously.

After an update it is usually good practice to restart your computer, chromebook or ipad. This allows any changes made to take effect.

Goto - Settings --> General --> Shut down to turn off your device.

Currently if you are casting your desktop the audio won't be routed through the chromecast to the display and on to the speakers.

You need to cast a tab to have the audio play through the chromecast.

A periodic clean of your cache can do wonders for your device.
