Hello!
Thank you for visiting my portfolio and taking the time to engage with my work.
My journey as a theatre maker has never been linear and I’ve come to see that as its greatest strength. Like many artists, I’ve worn many hats: director, producer, actor, teacher, and builder of spaces and stories. Each role has shaped the way I see the world and the work I create.
At the heart of it all is a deep love for life and its fleeting and powerful moments.
My new independent documentary theatre project rooted in personal testimony, radical empathy, and aesthetic precision.
In conversation with Lily Janiak at the San Francisco Chronicle, alongside Torange Yeghiazarian and Nabra Nelson, on making work in moments of crisis and what it means to lead a Middle Eastern theatre company in the U.S. today.
Reflected on my tenure at Golden Thread Productions in a conversation with Nabra Nelson and Marina Johnson (Kunafa and Shay, HowlRound). We discussed stepping into leadership after a founder during rupture, its impact on the organization and work, and the evolving landscape of Middle Eastern theatre in the U.S.
