This day is designed for FUHSD teachers who are newer to incorporating environmental or climate themes into their curriculum and are looking for strategies, lesson ideas, and supportive collaboration to get started.
Who: Teachers across all subject areas who are new to teaching environmental/climate content in the classroom or who could not attend in the 2024-2025 year due to limited space
Date: 9/15/25
This interactive workshop offers:
Inspiration from a rich library of sample lessons and quick activities curated by your colleagues
Collaboration time with subject-area peers to adapt, modify, or create lessons that connect students to real-world environmental issues
Support from curriculum leads, mentors, and fellow educators with experience in environmental education
Freedom to explore, whether you're building a lesson from scratch or enhancing what you already teach
Story-sharing and community-building in a relaxed, “playground”-themed setting that encourages experimentation and fun
Join fellow FUHSD educators for the next phase of our hands-on, collaborative environmental learning experience! Whether you bring a half-formed idea, a unit in progress, or just your curiosity, Playground 2.0 offers space, inspiration, and community to help you grow your environmental teaching practice—and your impact.
Who: FUHSD teachers who may have attended Playground 1.0 or have already begun incorporating environmental or climate themes into their curriculum
Date: 9/29/25
