PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY COMMENTS YOU INCLUDE WHEN ISSUING ANY ALERT WILL BE VISIBLE ON THE STUDENT PROFILE FOR ANYONE WHO HAS ACCESS TO THAT STUDENT'S INFORMATION (ADVISORS, PROFESSORS, ETC).
PLEASE USE DISCRETION WHEN REPORTING SENSITIVE INFORMATION.

Academic Concern (other than Attendance) - Describe Outreach

WHEN TO SUBMIT:
Student is not responding to requests from faculty/staff to discuss various academic performance or engagement concerns
*If concern pertains to the student's attendance, then the Not Attending Class alert should be issued instead.
ALERT ACTIONS:
College Success Lead and Athletic Advisor (if applicable) are automatically notified.
College Success Lead follows up as appropriate (may include contact to students or student's other instructors)
ADMIN USE ONLY: Out of Class due to COVID [do not submit this alert]
DO NOT SUBMIT THIS ALERT
This alert is issued by administrators in order to notify faculty that students will not be in class due to quarantine/isolation. Students are expected to contact their faculty to make arrangements.
ADMIN USE ONLY: Health - Notice of Missed Classes [do not submit this alert]
DO NOT SUBMIT THIS ALERT
This alert is issued by administrators in order to notify faculty that Health Services has received information indicating the student will miss class during a certain timeframe. Students are expected to contact their faculty to make arrangements.
ADMIN USE ONLY: Personal - Notice of Missed Classes [do not submit this alert]
DO NOT SUBMIT THIS ALERT
This alert is issued by administrators in order to notify faculty that Student Support Services has received information indicating the student will miss class during a certain timeframe. Students are expected to contact their faculty to make arrangements.
BECC Prerequisite Not Met [BECC Faculty/Staff ONLY]
This alert should only be submitted by faculty/staff in the Business and Engineering Convergence Center.
ALERT ACTIONS:

AUTOMATIC MESSAGE TO STUDENT:
A prerequisite is missing for {$course_number} - {$course_name}.
Since you do not satisfy the prerequisite, please drop {$course_number} and discuss alternatives with your academic advisor.
If you completed the prerequisite (or the equivalent course) outside Bradley University, please make sure it is transferred to Bradley University before classes begin. Otherwise, you may be dropped from {$course_number}.
Advisor(s) receive a copy of this message; though students are expected to initiate any follow-up.
Financial (can't buy course materials, tuition concern, etc)
WHEN TO SUBMIT:
When student reports concern for ability to access materials required for course(s) or expresses concern about ability to pay tuition or fees.
ALERT ACTIONS:
Automatic email sent to student (see below)
Automatic email sent to Office of Financial Assistance and the student's Athletic Advisor (if applicable) to notify them of the concern
Student responsible for taking action

If you need to discuss options related to your tuition, room & board, or fees, including billing and payment plan questions, please contact Student Financial Services at 309.677.3120 or by email at stufees@bradley.edu.
If you have questions about your financial aid, scholarships, grants, or loans, please contact the Office of Financial Assistance at 309.677.3089 or by email at bufinaid@bradley.edu.
If you cannot obtain course supplies or textbooks, support may be available through Student Support Services. Email studentsupport@bradley.edu or call 309.677.3910.
If none of the above describes the problem, please contact Student Financial Services at 309.677.3120 or by email at stufees@bradley.edu to discuss your options.
Not Attending Class
WHEN TO SUBMIT:
Student has been absent for multiple class meetings.
ALERT ACTIONS:
Student is automatically notified via email and instructed to take action. (See automatic message to the student below.)
Advisor, Athletic Advisor (if applicable), Turing Point Program (TPP) Coach (if applicable), and College Success Lead are automatically notified.
College Success Lead follows-up as appropriate (may include contact to students or student's other instructors).
AUTOMATIC MESSAGE TO STUDENT:
{$completer_name} has noticed you have not been attending {$course_number}. We want you to be successful at Bradley, so please be sure to contact {$completer_name} to inform them of any challenges that might be impacting your ability to attend class and to learn what you may need to do to get caught up. Please do not reply to this email. Please contact {$completer_name} directly.
In addition, you may wish to contact your advisor for more information about resources to support you, including Student Support Services and the Academic Success Center.
*The bracketed tags are filled in with the name of the person issuing the alert and the specific course the alert pertains to. When issuing this alert, please be sure to select the appropriate class from the dropdown menu next to Is this associated with a specific class?
Personal Emergency
WHEN TO SUBMIT:
When student reports personal emergency (health, weather, family, etc) that might impact ability to engage with coursework or University services/activities. Student Support Services will email the student offering relevant resources and support.
ALERT ACTIONS:
Student Support Services receives automatic notice of the concern and follow-up as appropriate, including providing support to the student.
Student Affairs Only
WHEN TO SUBMIT:
FOR STAFF IN THE DIVISION OF STUDENT AFFAIRS ONLY. Use this to request outreach through Student Support Services.
ALERT ACTIONS:
Student Support Services receives automatic notice of the concern and follow-up as appropriate
No messages sent to student or to other faculty/staff outside of Student Support Services unless additional information is needed
Student Technology Concern
WHEN TO SUBMIT:
When student reports hardware or system issues preventing access to online coursework
ALERT ACTIONS:
Automatic email sent to student (see below)
IT staff and Athletic Advisor (if applicable) notified that the alert has been issued
Student responsible for taking action

If you are unable to access a computer, internet, or other tools necessary to complete your coursework, email the Service Desk at itservicedesk@bradley.edu, visit https://support.bradley.edu/ and submit a ticket directly, or call 309-677-2964.
If you are experiencing technology problems for urgent/immediate course needs (ex. taking a test, submitting a timed assignment...), call the Service Desk, 8am-5pm, (309) 677-2964. For non-urgent issues, visit https://support.bradley.edu. The system will suggest self-troubleshooting guidance. Be sure to keep your instructors informed on any technology-related delays you may be experiencing.
If you are having problems with Bongo, call the Bongo Helpdesk at (970)-225-1175. This line is open 24/7.

Transfer Work Approval Needed [Registrar's Office Staff ONLY]
This alert should only be submitted by staff in the Registrar's Office.
