Take a moment and reflect on a challenge you recently faced and what you did to overcome it. Adversities are part of life, they can be related to interactions with other humans, but also to threats from the environment.
Resilience is the capacity all of us have to "bounce back" after a hardship.
Community resilience is the ability of a local community to prepare for anticipated hazards, recover from a disaster, persist to an ongoing hardship, and adapt to the changing conditions (social, political, economic, environmental, to mention some).
Ecological resilience refers to the ability of an ecosystem to resist damage and maintain normal processes and patterns to sustain the life of living organisms in the face of an ecological disturbance such as fires, flooding, windstorms, pests, deforestation, and more.
Climate resilience is a way to protect ourselves and communities from the extreme effects of climate change. It involves actions to prevent, withstand, respond to, and recover from a climate hazard. It can be applied to individuals, communities, countries, infrastructure, and more.
