Young people have creative ideas and are leading climate action strategies around the world!
As part of the Community Education in Action program, 6 selected youth groups interested in co-creating a learning resource that incorporates a Just Transition perspective received $800 and support from a mentor to complete their project and present it at our in-person workshops in March! These mini-grants are intended to amplify the voices and leadership of youth across Washington State and promote youth climate action.
By “learning resources” we refer to any tool or experience that can help raise awareness and promote learning in community. This could be an activity, a video, a game, a lesson, a learning experience, a community garden, an artivism project, an up-cycling event, or an afterschool event where students can learn how to fix or upcycle materials, but the canvas is wide open for you to propose.

This video was recorded in March 2025, during the Tacoma workshop, thanks to the support of the Seattle Justice Film Institute and later edited by Front and Centered.
Congratulations to the winners!
