During the online workshop in January 2025, we will discuss how to co-create learning resources around climate change, just transitions, and/or resilience. This will be an interactive session where all participants will have a chance to share their ideas and experiences. Remember to register!
Co-creation or co-design is a process of collaboration to create new resources or programs. It involves meaningful participation (all participants have the same opportunity to share ideas and contribute), open cooperation, coordination, and joint efforts in planning, decision-making, and creation processes. It allows to include different voices, perspectives, experiences, interests, and skills.
In this program, we consider learning resources any materials (handmade, digital, or printed) that convey some form of information, not limited to scientific knowledge, regarding a specific topic. These can be videos, art pieces, lessons, games, among others.
Better understand what it means to co-create or co-design something.
Explore what a learning resource is through some examples.
Discuss how a just transition requires co-design. —examples from climate and environmental justice.
Prepare our groups to apply for a mini-grant ($800) between January and March to co-create our own learning resources and promote a just transition in our communities.
