The course covers various topics from the main areas of mathematics: algebra, number, shape & space, statistics, ratio, proportion & rate of change and probability.
Each topic will recap what should be known from key stage 3 and extend learning to prepare for life after year 11.
There will be three 1.5 hours exam papers at the end of year 11. One paper is a non-calculator exam, the other two are completed with calculators. There is no coursework in GCSE mathematics.
It is essential that you have a complete set of mathematical equipment, including a scientific calculator.
