Field Day
This day is filled with fun outdoor and indoor physical activities that may involve running, climbing, and other play activities, including fun water games.
Please send extra clothes / towels for your student to change into.
Please apply sunblock before and during the activities to avoid sunburns. Students may not share sunblock due to allergies.
You are allowed to send sunblock to school with your child. Please teach them how to apply it. Send something that does not run into their eyes or sting!
If your child suffers from seasonal allergies, consider administering over the counter antihistamines (Zyrtec, Claritin, Allegra) at home as well as allergy eye drops (Alaway, Zaditor) before these fun activities. These meds usually last 12 hrs and are great given as a dose before the school day begins.
If your student suffers from asthma or symptoms of asthma, please administer their inhaler before the activities or bring the inhaler along with the parent request for medication form to clinic if I don't already have their meds/action plan here.
Pick up your child's medication from clinic the week before the last day of school or anytime up until the last day of school. The clinic will be closed in the summer. Any medication or equipment not picked up will be properly discarded/destroyed after the last day of school according to FISD policy, NO exceptions.
