Our Lady Falcons showed up and played hard during the first game of the ORES Area tournament. It was a close game, but our ladies pulled out the win 28-23. Unfortunately, the ladies did not win their second or third games. They did show so much improvement though. Way to go ladies!
Unfortunately, our boys lost their first and 2nd games. They did display grit, determination, and sportsmanship. We are proud of you!
January
Thursday, January 30th, was a day to remember. Our Frink Falcons and Lady Falcons were celebrated for a job well done this year. They will be competing in the ORES area tournament. Coach Mitchell spoke about how much effort both teams have put forth, the progress they have achieved, and how proud she is of "everyone knowing and doing their job."
The Lady Falcons play Brushy at 1:00, and the Falcons play Grove immediately following. Both games will be at Frink-Chambers gym. Come support our teams!
On January 8th, the entire school showed up to support our Falcons and Lady Falcons. We hosted a game at noon against Haywood.
The Falcon's nest was packed and loud!
Let's go Falcons!
Congratulations to Couch Mitchell and the 7/8 falcons, consolation champions of the Canadian Tournament.

Thursday the 5th & Friday the 6th
The girls took home the gold and won the first game or the tournament. Sadly, they lost their second. Though, our girls placed 3rd in the tournament!
The boys, unfortunately, lost both of their games. "Awe, man." Quote by Jace Timmons.
November
by Mrs. Thomas
Earlier this month, our 7th and 8th grade teams competed in a tournament hosted by Krebs. While our teams came up short on placing in the top 3, they played hard.
Coach Mitchell had a lot to say about these two teams:
"We started off the season with great anticipation and the first
tournament nerves did hit us early! Both teams showed fantastic
hustle and toughness! We will continue to grow as a team, and I see
much success in the near future!"

Basketball Advice
By: Jace Timmons
In basketball, we have been working on multiple different techniques, such as form shooting and defense. For form shooting, you have to try and get your shooting hand where it hooks over onto the rim. For defense, you try to keep the ball and the person you guard inside your vision, with your back always facing the goal.
Football
The Savanna Bulldog's season is already over, they had a bunch of fun,we did Oklahoma drills thats where two people lay down helment to helment one person is trying to score, while the other person is trying to stop them. We also had to do a lot of running and drills that made a lot of us really tired when we had our first game we were really hyped up and we won the game but we've lost the rest but we didnt give up. overall our season was amazing even tho we didn't win all of our games we still had a lot of fun and I look forward to next year!
During our first game we won our game during halftime the coaches gave us a speech before the speech we were down 6 to 0 but after that speech we got hyped and came out with the win.
I honestly don't remember much but we had a lot of talks during halftime but after our last game our coaches told us
to take a knee and one of our coaches told all of the Frink boys that we were bulldogs to him and he wanted us to play next year. I love the coaches and my teammates and I loved playing with them. by Conrad Benefield

Savanna vs. Canadian
by Conrad Benefield and Collin Ross
September 9, 2024
Canadian traveled to Savanna and played the junior high bulldogs. Both teams did well, but the Bulldogs managed to come out with the win. Canadian made one sack in the backfield and one other tackle. After he made the sack Canadian got an offside causing a loss of 5 yards.
Also, our very own Cooper Bryant made many tackles on defense.
Both teams went until the 3rd quarter without scoring. Canadian was the first team to score, and they did a good job keeping their lead. Finally, the Bulldogs managed to score a touchdown in the 4th quarter tying the game 6 to 6. The Bulldogs made their two-point conversion taking the lead 8 to 6. It stayed that way for the rest of the game, which made the Bulldogs win their very first game.
Collin and I interviewed two cheerleaders, Liv and Kendie. Both of them have been doing cheer for Savanna since April, and they enjoy it. We also interviewed Cooper Bryant. He said he has been playing football for seven years. His favorite year was his 8U year when he went undefeated. He also said his favorite teammates are Camden, Jackson, and me, Conrad.

Making the hard decisions.
by Mrs. Thomas
Kiowa came to Frink Thursday, August 15. They were ready to play! The final score was 15-0. Even though our Lady Falcons didn't get the win, they played with so much heart.
Addie Dixon was impressive with her pitching, and Marlie Mitchell worked hard keeping the ball in front. Sara Kellogg tried her hand at short-stop as a fill-in and did really well. Landri Henry even stole a base!
Overall, our Lady Falcons are showing improvement and still loving the game. We are looking forward to the rest of this season. Take State ladies!
Being the best mascot!
Even the heat couldn't keep these girls from playing the game they love.
Always working hard!
