Senior Project is an unpaid internship with any business, organization, or corporation that interests you. Starting on the first day of Quarter 4, students participating in Senior Project spend a total of 70 hours over the 6 week period working at their internship. Additionally, those who opt in to this opportunity will be required to log their hours, complete journal entries and reflections describing what they learned, write a "Portrait of a Graduate" paper, and present to a small group about their experience.
In order to be eligible to participate in Senior Project, students must have a cumulative grade of at least 70, no outstanding fines, suspensions, or detentions. Also, in classes requiring a final exam, students must take the final before Quarter 3 ends. While working at their internship, it is expected that students are following the FHS Student Handbook as if they are attending school.

While participating in Senior Project, students are not required to attend any classes, complete any work, or take any assessments because their transcript will be finalized after Quarter 3. However, they are allowed to come into school and go to class as they wish. AP students in particular are encouraged to attend classes when their schedule allows because most will still need to take the AP exam.
