Resourcefulness
Over the summer, prior to starting high school senior year, I went to the GenCyber Agent Academy camp that is annually ran by the University of New Haven. Not only did I gained plenty of knowledge on various topics related to cybersecurity, but I was able to also establish strong connections with a few professors and one of the guest speakers that was a senior operator at a private company specialized in offense security. As I would move forward in my project, I have realized that those connections were worth its weight in gold. All of them were specialized in cybersecurity and knew at least something the basics of artificial intelligence. The resourcefulness of those connections were tremendous, considering that I got even more resources from them.

When it comes to the niche and specific field of study such as cybersecurity, it is not very popular among the high schoolers. As I reached out to Dr. Netcoh to see if he is aware of any summits, conferences, or job shadows I might participate or attend, he unfortunately did not had anything for me. This is when I decided to take the initiative into my own hands and try to search for some myself. After doing research and trying to see any events that would be available to me, I was happy to find 2 summits that I have attended. I'm glad I was determined enough to be able to find the events that helped me build my knowledge related to cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.
