Job Summary:
A Digital Arts Intern will support the overall mission of the Department and help communicate opportunities and events in Digital Arts to the student body. This role belongs to a girl who is interested in gaining practical, hands-on experience on the administrative side digital arts. Each internship is tailored to the interests and strengths of the intern. The Foxcroft School Fine Arts Department wants all interns to gain a better understanding of inventory and classroom management, and curatorial experience.
NOTE: Every girl’s role will be further defined by their Intern advisor. No job description can anticipate all responsibilities; as such, there may be other assigned duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Become familiar with the physical layout of all of The Innovation Lab and fine arts exhibition spaces
Develop plans with the instructors to enhance student knowledge about the digital arts programs, events, and opportunities available
Ongoing Tasks:
Photograph Foxcroft Activities on and off campus and upload to Vidigami
Design artwork for annual Foxcroft events
Wintermission Catalog Cover
STEM Challenge Logo Design (Posters, T-Shirts), Promotional Video, Laser Cut Awards
Musical and Theatrical Performance Flyers
Arts Weekend Promotional Materials
Keep supplies and general inventory in order
Digital Camera Tags - Laser Cut numbers with QR code to Sign Out/In
Create posters for film rolling, camera parts, film developing, and print developing
Assist with exhibitions both on and off campus
Artists in Middleburg Gallery
Artwork to hang in classrooms, library, dorms, athletic center
Volunteer during Arts Weekend
Research opportunities for students to submit work in regional and national Competitions
Prepare monthly Morning Meeting Announcements to share ways the community can Get Involved in Fine Arts
Occasional Tasks:
Change out the displays on the Fine Arts and Digital Arts Bulletin Board
Help to develop and distribute arts related promotional materials both in print and online
