How to Apply

APPLICATION PROCESS

To apply, a student should

  • Meet with the Concentration Coordinator to discuss your goals and interests and desired mentor

  • Make a copy of the Concentration Application linked below and move it to a folder with your last name and area of concentration

  • Create an outline for your Written Proposal on your application and share your concentration folder with the Concentration Coordinator to receive feedback and start your draft

  • Share your application with the Assistant Head of School (Ms. Ulmer) and schedule a meeting to discuss your proposal draft and obtain a signature

  • Share your application with your Advisor and schedule a meeting to get feedback on your proposal draft and obtain a signature

  • Request a faculty member to serve as a Concentration Mentor and share your application to receive additional feedback on your proposal

  • Update your Written Proposal with all the feedback you received from the Concentration Coordinator, Assistant Head of School, Advisor, and Mentor

  • Share your application with the Dean of Student Life (Ms. Young) and Director of College Counseling (Ms. Connor) to schedule meeting to discuss your Written Proposal obtain a signatures

  • Share your application with a Parent/Guardian to discuss your concentration and obtain a signature

  • Prepare a Resume with a list of coursework, community service, club membership, and leadership activities and move it to your concentration folder (see the sample resume below)

  • Obtain a copy of your unofficial Transcript from the Registrar (Ms. Boswell) and move it to your folder

  • Share your completed concentration folder back to the Concentration Coordinator for review
