Our Next Steps:

• Continue to build our Computer Science "One Stop Shop". The "One Stop Shop" includes links to the CSTA Standards and programs that we use. Priority standards have been selected for Kindergarten through 8th grade, and we have started to work on common formative assessments to go with them. Preschool will be added to the One Stop Shop after their Tiny Techies training this summer. (2022)

• Continued district-level professional learning for teachers PK - 8 around effective integration of computer science into core content.

• Continued professional learning for teachers on direct instruction of computer science

• Training for preschool and special education teachers in computer science

• Having a system in place for training new teachers/staff

• Developing a Padlet with integration pictures and videos by grade level for teachers to access and also be able to contribute their integration activities.

• Keep increasing our integration of computer science and STEAM across the curriculum.

• Continued vertical conversations with PK - 8th grade surrounding priority standards and common formative assessments.

• Continue to build in more community/business connections with computer science and STEAM to help make real-world connections for our students.

• Increase the knowledge and support of computer science with our new administrators and staff.

• Find dedicated time in the schedule to focus on computer science so that staff can learn and apply what they learn through integration.

• Make our Family STEAM Night an annual event.
