Paul Hohenlohe’s biosketch

Paul Hohenlohe is an Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Idaho, working on evolutionary genetics and genomics and applications to conservation. He earned his PhD from the University of Washington and previously worked as a conservation biologist in the U.S. federal land management agencies and as a postdoctoral researcher in evolutionary genomics. He uses techniques such as RAD and whole-genome sequencing to study natural populations of a wide range of vertebrate taxa, focusing on genetic population structure, hybridization, adaptive potential and evolutionary response to disease.
